Aug 27, 2021 — Thousands expected at Muskegon beach for Burning Foot Beer Festival this weekend

MUSKEGON, MI -- Crowds will be heading to Muskegon’s Pere Marquette Park this weekend for Burning Foot Beer Festival.

Organizers expect about 6,000 people at the annual barefoot celebration of beer, art and music on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 3-9 p.m.

In addition to those attending the festival, Muskegon’s Lake Michigan beach has been a popular destination for those looking to cool off in the water and relax on the sand this summer.

Parking will likely be at a premium Saturday. Shuttle services are set up to help get people to and from the beach area.

A shuttle service is available to transport festivalgoers from the Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore, 900 W. Western Ave., to the beach from 1-11 p.m. during the event.

Additionally, a free Shoreline Shuttle runs from downtown Muskegon to Pere Marquette Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
